The concept of convenience for us has altered throughout the years. Remember how earlier we had to look into several shops to acquire multiple things? But today, we have malls that supply all our necessities under one roof. With the assistance of technology, it has become so effortless to shop. Don’t feel like cooking? Order online. Need to present someone? Get it delivered to them on their doorstep. Want to shop but don’t feel like going out? Click on the app within seconds. Don’t have cash in your pockets? Simply QR it!
With a smartphone in hand, we have the entire world at our fingertips, yet there are still a few essentials that are obtained after a lot of difficulties. Let us take fuel, although many would ask why we need doorstep fuel delivery? Indeed, automobiles can travel all the way to the gas pump and get fuel. But what about enterprises such as hotels, hospitals, factories and residential complexes that demand fuels like diesel on a daily basis in varied quantities?
Procurement managers still have to depend on archaic ways of acquiring diesel from petrol pumps in tanks and barrels and compromise on the quality and amount of the fuel. Furthermore, the loss of fuel in the dead miles contributes to carbon footprints that are wreaking havoc on the environment.
For an environmentally better future, fossil fuels will be progressively replaced by greener fuels like CNG, LNG, and EV. However, with just 77,000 petrol stations existing in India, integrating clean fuels together with conventional fuel is a hurdle. Considering the need for fuel is only expected to grow in the next 25 years, The concurrent demand for both cleaner and fossil fuels leaves little room for clean fuels to be implemented in India.
What is a composite retail fuel outlet?
A composite retail fuel outlet is a fuel station that combines distributing units of all energies under one roof, starting from diesel, petrol to LNG,CNG,Biofuels and EV charging stations. However all the present petrol pump stations are largely occupied by the conventional fuels, leaving no scope for the other cleaner energies to percolate.
Why the Composite Retail Outlet?
The energy distribution business in India is going through a shift where demand for greener fuels is growing. The ratio of the number of on-road cars to the sources of filling stations has a considerable discrepancy. There are only 2400 CNG filling stations for 35.17 million CNG vehicles and only one charge outlet for every 1,000 electric vehicles. There is just one LNG station planned for filling out all the LNG vehicles on the road. The mismatch between supply and demand is terrifying!
In India, retail outlets are dominated by petrol and diesel, leaving little room for the sale of alternative fuels in current retail locations. Similarly, no land is readily accessible in urban and semi-urban areas for the construction of alternative fuel distribution outlets.
This can be made feasible by transferring substantial bulk diesel demand from retail outlets to mobile doorstep delivery, which will free up space at retail outlets for dispensing cleaner fuels in the near future. This would make the distribution of multiple kinds of fuels like CNG, LNG, biofuels, etc. under one single roof feasible.
The Composite Retail Fuel Outlet would include filling portals for all the alternative fuels in the existing retail petrol pump outlets, replacing the traditional fuels to provide for the increased demand.
How do we build a composite retail outlet?
The only way to create a composite retail fuel outlet is to put the current energies on wheels and make room for the other fuels. Repos’s Mobile Petrol Pump (RMPP) is intent on transforming the energy distribution in India.
Let us explain how we are revamping the energy distribution system in India:
- Moving current fuels on mobile petrol pumps while enabling the concept of a composite retail fuel outlet into operation.
- Making space available for current fuels to integrate seamlessly into the fuel industry. All of these clean energies will be available under one roof while conventional ones will be shipped on wheels.
- We are bridging the gap between diesel demand and supply by making diesel accessible directly at the door, whenever and wherever it’s requested.
- RMPP is created with advanced technology that allows doorstep diesel delivery, which means supplying fuel directly to the doorstep of your consumers.
- It provides clients with information about the quality, quantity, and availability of fuel.
Before we wind up
Repos is also working on streamlining the distribution of alternative energies like CNG, LNG, and other biofuels throughout India to cater to the rising demand and be a contributor in leaving a green trail behind.
