We all are always in the process of finding the meaning of our lives – how to live it, what is the meaning of it, how to make it more beautiful? We are always in search of recipes on how to make our big and beautiful dreams come true. And well, also the recipe of that favorite curry which your Ma makes!
Just like you, I am also very much finding all the recipes to Life.
But just another fine day of trying to make some sense out of it all, and while we were in a meeting with Aditi and Chetan, I kind of found a way to approach these recipes.
We were supposed to dive in some long structuring and prioritizing our work and goals, Aditi and Chetan told us a small dream of theirs, Aditi said, “We want to say YES to everything and anything that may come. We want everyone to feel that we would get their work done irrespective of whether it is in our capacity or not.”
“YES” is the keyword, right?
We have so many dreams- Some big, some small. Some stupid, some wise. Some old, some new.
But is dreaming all about it? Are these dreams all we should have?
They sure tell us to make those dreams come true, without giving us the standard processes to follow. They sure show us the happiness and success after the dream has come true, without showing us the first step towards it!
Now, Isn’t that first step a simple, humble, tiny, and the most powerful – “YES”?
Just imagine what would the world be like if all the great people would’ve said no or just let the problems be! Would they have achieved their dreams? Would they have really changed the world?
Mr. Mahatma Gandhi had a dream which he must’ve daydreamed. A dream where there was no Slavery in India, where there love and peace amongst the people.
What if he never said a YES to all the turbulent and tireless struggles he went through?
Mr. Muhammad Ali must’ve dreamt of being the best boxer ever to step in the ring. A dream of being the best, going beyond all the downs he must have had in his path.
What if he never said a YES to all the punches he would have to take in the ring?
Ms. Malala Yousafzai must’ve dreamt of an education for her someday. A dream to inspire youth to read and write.
What if she never said a YES to going out without caring what would happen?
The world wouldn’t have been the way it is and was for them and us.
YES gives you a belief that you can become the next You.
Yes is the secret ingredient which gives us the risks, opportunities, and success!
For as long as we have a YES, we have hope and joy.
For as long as we Have a YES, it would all Work!
